Commander Moving Inc. was founded in 2011 in Oakland, California. The company’s owner spent several years in the moving industry. He had a vision on how a moving company should be. Moving is often a stressful process. Part of our job is to remain calm and try to keep you relaxed as well. Along these lines, we do our best to prepare everything, and everybody.

Our fleet currently consists of four modern trucks maintained to be 100% reliable. We are able to handle any size of move residential or commercial within the state of California. We serve entire Northern and Southern California. Commander Moving Inc. has 12k square feet of storage right off the Bay Bridge in West Oakland.

We have approximately 150 storage units measuring 8x5x8. Our state of the art BayAlarm security system with motion sensors, cameras, gate alarms, and off site monitoring ensures maximum protection for your goods.

Typically, we arrive to your site between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM unless other arrangements have been made. Your crew will walk through every room with you to see every item that’s to be relocated. This is where everybody can come to an agreement on what needs to be relocated. After the tour your driver will sit down with you and start going over our paperwork and present to you an “Important Information Booklet” as required by the P.U.C. California explaining your rights as a moving customer (or “shipper”) in California. After that Commander Moving Inc. goes to work for you and load the truck. Prior to leaving the load Commander Moving Inc. will make sure all items to be moved are loaded. Time spent driving between the origin of the move and the destination is doubled on your bill, also called a round trip driving time. When it’s time to unload, your movers will do another walk through and determine where each piece of furniture belongs. Clarity is key. When the truck is unloaded, and before we present the bill, another walk through will ensure that everything is where it should be. In the event your movers take a lunch break, you will be informed and will not be charged for our break.
